I’ve made some progress but not as much as I would have liked.  I started work last week on the shelving units.  I started with the hardest one to make for this area which will hold the fridge, a cabinet, some cubbies, and large shelving.  Im just starting to work on getting it attached to the wall…

The unit is quite heavy which means lots and lots of lag bolts but Im pretty happy with how it turned out.  It’s quite large and sticks out a little further form the wall than I had imagined but the fridge will fit in it perfectly and the trashcans will slide underneath it.

I also continued work on the wall with the help of my lovely wife.  We have the first two sections of wall done now…

Im really happy with how the wall is turning out.  However – I haven’t made any further progress on the ceiling which is a bit of a bummer.  Im going to say that at this point Im definitely behind schedule.  To make matters worse, Im gone the next two days and then another 3 next week.  Im definitely going to have to kick things into high gear once I get back to try and get this done before end of month.
